Chitwan Jungle Safari or Chitwan National Park is 175 km away from Kathmandu and covers about 932 sq km area. It is listed in the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. The southern park of the national park is connects with Parsa Wildlife Reserve which is the least popular wildlife reserve of Nepal.
Chitwan National Park is the home of endangered one-horned rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tigers along with 43 species of mammals, and 543 of species of birds. You can also see other animals like pythons, deers, elephants, crocodiles, rhesus monkey, grey langur, leopards and many more.
You can either take an elephant ride or take a jeep for dense jungle safari. Besides jungle safari, Chitwan is also popular for elephant riding, bathing and elephant breeding center. One can know the full informational of new elephant breeding and the new born calf.
