Details Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,400 m). Overnight at a Hotel. Upon arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by Jatra Travels representative and transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. Spend the rest of the day at leisure and acclimatize to the altitude.

Day 02: Guided Sightseeing in the Kathmandu Valley. Overnight at a Hotel. After breakfast, start your sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, your tour guide will be at your hotel and take you too the UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as the ancient Swayambhunath Stupa (also known as the Monkey Temple) and the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square. In the afternoon, visit the Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in the world and an important Buddhist pilgrimage site.

Day 03: Sunrise to Nagarkot and 4 hrs hike to Changunarayan. Nagarkot is a popular hill station located approximately 32 km east of Kathmandu, known for its panoramic views of the Himalayan mountains, including Mount Everest on a clear day. To watch the sunrise from Nagarkot, you will need to wake up early in the morning and travel from your accommodation to the hilltop viewpoint, which takes about an hour by car or taxi. Alternatively, you can hike up to Nagarkot from the nearby town of Sankhu, which takes around 4-5 hours.

After watching the sunrise, you will begin your hike from Nagarkot to Changunarayan, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to one of the oldest temples in Nepal. The hike takes around 4 hours and covers a distance of approximately 12 km. The trail is mostly downhill and offers stunning views of the surrounding hills and forests.

Along the way, you will pass through several small villages, where you can observe the local way of life and interact with the friendly people. You will also see terraced farmland and fields, which are used for growing crops such as rice, maize, and wheat. The trail is well-marked and easy to follow, but it is important to wear comfortable shoes and carry enough water and snacks for the journey.

Once you reach Changunarayan, you can explore the ancient temple and its intricate carvings, which date back to the 4th century. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is a popular pilgrimage site for Hindus. After visiting the temple your driver ll take you to your hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 04: Rafting at Trisuli River and Transfer to Pokhara. On Day 04, you will go on a thrilling day rafting adventure on the Trisuli River, one of the most popular rivers in Nepal for rafting. Trisuli River is located between Kathmandu and Pokhara, and the rafting trip will take about 3-4 hours, depending on the water level and flow. The river is known for its rapids and the beautiful scenery that surrounds it. After finishing the rafting adventure, you will be transferred to Pokhara, a city located in western Nepal, famous for its natural beauty and adventure activities like paragliding, trekking, and mountain biking. The drive from the rafting starting point to Pokhara takes about 3-4 hours, and you will have the opportunity to enjoy the scenic views of the Himalayas and the countryside along the way.

Day 05: Pokhara sightseeing. Wake up early and drive to Sarangkot to witness the beautiful sunrise over the Annapurna range. Afterward, return to Pokhara and take a boat ride on the tranquil Phewa Lake, enjoying the scenic beauty of the surrounding mountains and forests.

Day 06: Drive to Chitwan. After breakfast, drive to Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best wildlife reserves in Asia. Upon arrival, check-in at your jungle lodge and spend the day exploring the park on an elephant-back safari or a jungle walk.

Day 07: Chitwan Explore. Continue exploring Chitwan National Park, enjoying activities such as bird-watching, Jeep safari, canoeing, and visiting a local Tharu village to experience the indigenous culture.

Day 08: Back to Kathmandu and Evening Nepal Culture show with dinner. On Day 08, you will travel back to Kathmandu from Chitwan, where you have been exploring the wildlife and natural beauty of the region for the past few days. The journey from Chitwan to Kathmandu takes around 5-6 hours by road.

In the evening, you will attend a Nepal Culture show with dinner, which is organized by Jatra Travels with a wonderful opportunity to experience the vibrant cultural traditions of Nepal. The show will feature traditional Nepali music, dance, and costumes, and will provide a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of the country.

During the show, you will also enjoy a delicious Nepali dinner, which includes traditional dishes such as daal bhat (lentil soup and rice), momos (dumplings), and chow mein (stir-fried noodles). The dinner will be a great opportunity to sample some of the delicious local cuisine and socialize with other travelers. After the show, you will return to your accommodation in Kathmandu.

Day 09: Airport drop off. On Day 09, your tour operator Jatra Travels will provide you with an airport drop-off service, which will take you to Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu for your departure flight.
