Koshitappu Wildlife Reserve lies in the Saptari and Sunsari district of South Eastern Nepal. It is in the plain land of Terai Region spread an area around 175km. This wildlife reserve is established in 1976.
It is the home of the 429 bird species and also considered as the most popular place for bird watching. The whole area is covered with the tall khar-pater grasslands and also khair-sissoo forest. As Koshitappu Wildlife Reserve connects with largest River of Nepal, you can also see the migratory birds in Koshi barrage, Dolphin, 27 species of mammals, reptiles and so on.
