Opened in 2008, Tsum valley trek is rough and a bit trek to the hidden valley of Tsum which means Vivid and inhabited by descendent Tibetan people knows as Tsumbas. It is situated in the east of Manaslu region connected with border of Tibet.

Since it is untouched valley for several years, there are many things to explore around. Their main religion is Buddhism which is packed with Tibetan Buddhist monasteries, nunneries, chortens and prayer walls and significant religious monuments, the longest mani walls at Dzong and Phurpe. Similarly, there is largest monasteries in the valley, Mu Gompa.

This untouched hidden valley is still underdeveloped but the accommodation is available in lodges and traditional ‘home stays’ where you can enjoy the friendly Tsumba and local daal, bhat and tarkari. They have their own unique language which is very distinct from our national language. And the have their own culture and tradition that are untouched by modernity. From there, you can view the beautiful Ganesh Himal Range, Sringi Himal, Bauddha Himal and Himalchuli.

It is easier and reasonable than Manaslu circuit trekking and if you wish you can combine this trip with it as well.
