Bhutan is the peaceful country that has an area of 46,500 square kilometers bordered by Tibet to the north and northwest and remaining by India. Migrants from Tibet started their settlement in the 9th century. Bhutan is also called Druk Yul (Land of the Thunder Dragon) by its people.

Bhutan got independence from in 1949, before it was influenced by the culture of India and the British government for a very long time. It gained its independence from India in 1949. Now India is its major trading partner. Thimphu is the capital of Bhutan that is elevated in an altitude of 7000 feet, on the banks of the Wong Chu river, where there are lots of royal government offices. From 1991 Royal government takes privatized tourism industry in Bhutan. They believe in  policy of low volume, high value tourism.
