Jiri to Everset Base Camp trek is the classical route to the Everest Base Camp. Back then, Edmund Hillary and Tenzin Sherpa used this route to climb the summit. Jiri is small village situated in the eastern region of Nepal. Jiri is also regarded as the Switzerland of Nepal. Nowadays, this route is popular for the porters and pack of animals. But still few trekkers choose this route to EBC than flight to Lukla to EBC.
Thorugh out the trail you will be witnessing the terraced farmlands forest, dramatic vegetation, glacial landscapes, and the majestic view of popular Himalayas like Mt. Pumori, Mt. Ama Dablam. Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, and many more. You can climb the Kalapathhar to see the Everest from more near. Similarly, you will know the cultural of the Sherpa people, their settlements, and the trading hub between Tibet and Sherpa’s of Khumbu area known as NamcheBazar. At the end of the trek, you will be trekking to the Lukla and take a flight from there to Kathmandu.
