Langtang Valley Trek, Gosainkunda and Helambu is the shortest and easiest trek which is near from the Kathmandu. As this trek is based in inside the Langtang Valley, you will come across the beautiful Buddhist community, serene landscapes, alpine forest, mesmerizing waterfalls, range of Himalayas and rhododendron (esp. in spring season). This trek also carries a religious value as you will come see the Buddhist or Tibetan monasteries, culture and their lifestyle. You will get an opportunity to learn their custom and traditions. The more you trek further, you will be welcomed by the Sherpas which leads you to the highest point of the Helambu trekking, Tharepati. Note:-  During your trek, sometimes we have to stop in teahouses for a small break, which is not so much facilitated. They have shared washing rooms and toilet. Similarly, it is easier to get the single room at Kathmandu and lower elevation places. However, in high altitude accommodations are on twin sharing basis. However, Jatra Travels will arrange a single room along with attached bathroom as much as possible.

Itinerary

  1. Day 1 Arrive Kathmandu (1,400m)

    Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our team will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel by car/jeep (1-hour drive). After check-in, you'll have free time to explore the vibrant streets of Basantapur and Thamel (walking distance ~5.5km). In the evening, enjoy a delicious Nepali welcome dinner and experience our authentic hospitality before your overnight stay at the hotel.

  2. Day 2 Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (2000 M)

    Today we'll embark on a scenic drive from Kathmandu, passing through Dhunche before reaching Syabru Besi at 2,000m altitude where we'll spend our first night outside the valley. The journey offers beautiful mountain views as we prepare for tomorrow's trek. Enjoy comfortable lodge accommodation with all meals provided (breakfast, lunch, dinner) along with hot coffee/tea to keep you refreshed after the day's travel.

  3. Day 3 Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2748 M)

    Today we begin our trek following the beautiful Bhote Koshi River, enjoying scenic views along the way. The pleasant 5-hour walk takes us to Lama Hotel, our resting place for the night at 2,748 meters altitude. We'll stay in a cozy lodge and enjoy delicious meals including breakfast, lunch, and dinner with hot coffee or tea to recharge for tomorrow's adventure.

  4. Day 4 Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3500 M)

    Today's 4-hour trek takes us through beautiful forests and Ghodatabela, passing charming Thangshep village along the way. We gradually climb to 3,500 meters where we'll spend the night in Langtang Village. Enjoy comfortable lodge accommodation with hearty meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and warm coffee/tea to relax after our journey.

  5. Day 5 Langtang Village to Kyangjing Gompa (3800 M)

    After breakfast in Langtang Village, we begin our 4-hour trek to Kyanjin Gompa, nestled at 3,800 meters. The scenic trail winds through breathtaking mountain landscapes before reaching our destination for the night. We'll stay in a comfortable lodge and enjoy nourishing meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) with hot coffee or tea to help us acclimatize to the higher altitude.

  6. Day 6 Acclimatization at Kyangjing Gompa and hike toTshego- Ri

    Today we rest and acclimatize to the altitude while exploring the beautiful surroundings of Kyanjin Gompa. Enjoy a relaxed 3-hour exploration of the area, visiting nearby viewpoints and the famous cheese factory. We'll spend another night at our comfortable lodge with all meals provided (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and hot coffee/tea to keep you warm in the mountain air.

  7. Day 7 Return from Kyanging Gompa to Lama Hotel (2784 M)

    Today we begin our descent, trekking for about 5-6 hours back to Lama Hotel. After breakfast, we'll follow the trail downhill, stopping for lunch along the way before reaching our familiar lodge accommodation. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay with all meals provided (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and hot coffee/tea to relax after our journey.

  8. Day 8 Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru (2250 M)

    Today we leave Lama Hotel and embark on a scenic trek through lush pine forests and vibrant rhododendron clusters. The trail offers potential wildlife sightings, including red pandas, Himalayan black bears, and langur monkeys. After a rewarding day of trekking, we descend through Pairo to reach Thulo Syabru, where we'll spend the night at a cozy tea house lodge.

  9. Day 9 Thulo Syabru to Sing Gompa (3330 M)

    Today's 6-hour trek takes us from Thulo Syabru to the peaceful Sing Gomba. Along the way, we'll visit an ancient Buddhist monastery where we can learn about local culture and traditions. Nestled at 3,330 meters, this spiritual retreat offers simple lodge accommodation where we'll enjoy warm meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and comforting coffee/tea while taking in the serene mountain atmosphere.

  10. Day 10 Sing Gompa to Gosaikunda Lake (4380 M)

    Today's 5-hour trek takes us from Sing Gomba up to the sacred Gosaikunda Lake, climbing through breathtaking high-altitude trails. As we ascend above 4,000m, we're treated to stunning views of the Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, and Langtang mountain ranges. The journey culminates at this revered Hindu pilgrimage site, where the lake's spiritual energy makes us forget the high altitude. We'll spend the night at a simple lodge, enjoying warm meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) with coffee/tea while surrounded by this magical alpine landscape.

  11. Day 11 Gosaikunda lake to Thareypati (3600 M)

    After leaving Gosaikunda Lake, we begin our 7-hour descent along a rugged trail through beautiful rhododendron forests, passing Melamchigaun village along the way. The challenging path gradually brings us down to Tharepati, where we'll spend the night at a cozy lodge. Refuel with hearty meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and warm coffee/tea after our long day's trek.

  12. Day 12 Thareypati to Tarkeghyang (2600 M)

    Today's 6-hour trek takes us from Tharepati down to the charming village of Tarkeghyang. The scenic trail winds through lush green forests, offering beautiful mountain views along the way. After our pleasant journey, we'll settle into a comfortable lodge for the night, enjoying delicious meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) with hot coffee or tea to relax after the day's hike.

  13. Day 13 Tarkeghyang to Sermagthang (2590 M)

     After an early breakfast in Tarkeghyang, we begin our 5-hour trek to Sermathang. The pleasant trail leads us through beautiful landscapes, arriving at our destination by late afternoon. We'll spend the night at a comfortable lodge, enjoying delicious meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) with hot coffee or tea as we relax and reflect on our journey.

  14. Day 14 Sermathang ko Melamchi Bazar (870 M) and back to Kathmandu

    Today we descend from Sermathang to Melamchi Bazaar (870m), followed by a 4-hour trek and 2-hour bus ride back to Kathmandu. After our journey, we'll check into a comfortable hotel and enjoy a final dinner (breakfast, lunch, dinner included) with coffee/tea, celebrating the completion of our incredible trek.

  15. Day 15 Departure time

    Transfer to the airport with the memmory of the trek and plan for the next trek.
