  3. Day 3 Drive Kathmandu to Kerung Border (2,900m)

An early start for our scenic Kathmandu to Kailash by Road journey (approx. 175 km). We provide a packed breakfast. Lunch is served near the Nepal/China border (Rasuwagadhi). After completing the necessary immigration and custom formalities, we meet our Tibetan team and continue the drive to Kerung, the first major town in Tibet. Overnight in Kerung.

  4. Day 4 Rest Day & Acclimatization in Kerung (2,900m)

This dedicated rest day is crucial for safety and successful acclimatization. Kerung’s altitude is perfect for your body to adjust to the thin Tibetan air. Take a short walk, hydrate well, and relax. Overnight in Kerung.

  5. Day 5 Overland Drive to Saga / Dongba (4,450m)

Our first long drive on the Tibetan plateau. We traverse vast landscapes, spotting nomadic settlements, clear lakes (like Peku-tso), and maybe even wild yaks. Cross the Labug-La Pass (5,050m) and the mighty Brahmaputra River en route to the bustling town of Saga. Overnight in Saga.

  6. Day 6 Arrival at Lake Mansarovar (4,558m)

The longest, most exciting day of driving (approx. 500 km). You will witness the geological wonder of the plateau, surrounded by sand dunes and rocky peaks. In the late afternoon, experience the soul-stirring first Darshan (view) of Holy Mt. Kailash and the pristine, turquoise waters of Lake Manasarovar. We halt at Hore, a village beside the lake. Night halt beside Mansarovar.

  7. Day 7 Puja at Mansarovar & Drive to Darchen (4,600m)

Manasarovar is the lake of tranquility and bliss. After completing the essential holy bath (snan) and personalized Puja ceremonies, we drive a short distance to Darchen. Darchen serves as the base camp for the holy Kailash Parikrama. We will organize ponies/porters for the trek here. Overnight in Darchen.

  8. Day 8 Kailash Parikrama Day 1: Trek to Dirapuk (5,000m)

The start of the sacred Kora. We begin the trek (approx. 18 km / 7 hours) through beautiful rocky cliffs and cascading waterfalls. The majestic North Face of Mt. Kailash will gradually reveal itself, showering blessings upon the trail. This is the Year of the Horse, making this step especially meritorious! Overnight at a Guesthouse in Dirapuk.

  9. Day 9 Kailash Parikrama Day 2: Dolma La Pass (5,630m) & Zuthulpuk

This is the hardest, yet holiest, day of the pilgrimage. We cross the high pass of Dolma La (18,600ft). Pilgrims offer old clothes or hair as a symbolic rebirth ritual. Upon reaching the summit, sit for a moment of profound meditation. We descend past Gauri Kunda and continue the trek to Zuthulpuk (the Cave of Miracles). Overnight at a Guesthouse in Zuthulpuk.

  10. Day 10 End of Parikrama & Drive to Dongba

After a short, final trek (approx. 2 hours), we meet our waiting coach. We drive back to Darchen, pick up any group members who didn't trek, and continue the long drive back east towards Dongba. Overnight in Dongba.

  11. Day 11 Back Journey: Drive Dongba to Kerung City (270 km)

Continuing our return journey, we drive through the familiar vastness of the Tibetan plateau, cherishing the final views of the high Himalayas. Overnight in Kerung City.
