Phulchoki Day Hike
Phulchoki Hill which is located 2,782 m above the sea level, is Kathmandu Valley’s highest and most enchanting escape, offering a magical blend of nature, adventure, and culture. It is just 20 km south of the city, this towering peak treats visitors to breathtaking 360° Himalayan views from which Everest to Annapurna on clear days. In winter, it transforms into a rare snowy land, while during spring, its slopes are surrounded with rhododendron. All about the Phulchoki Day Hike
Just a short drive from the city, this beautiful hill Phulchoki offers amazing views of Himalayan peaks like Everest and Annapurna when the sky is clear. In winter, you might even find snow here - a rare treat so close to Kathmandu! During spring, the hillside turns pink with blooming rhododendron flowers. The area is full of wildlife, including Nepal's only unique bird species called the spiny babbler. At the bottom of the hill, you can visit the beautiful Godavari Botanical Garden with its many plants and flowers. The hike to the top takes about 3-4 hours through peaceful forests, passing by caves with prayer flags and a small temple at the summit.
