Itinerary

  1. Day Itinerary for Rafting at Trishuli

6:30 AM - Hotel Pickup in Kathmandu

We start early in the morning and drive to Charaudi, where the Trishuli River rafting trip begins. Your adventure begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel in a comfortable AC vehicle. You'll meet your certified rafting guide and the rest of your group before enjoying a scenic 3-hour drive along the Kathmandu-Pokhara Highway, taking in beautiful views along the way.

9:30 AM - Arrival at Rafting Starting Point (Charaudi/Fishling)

First, your guide will explain safety rules and give you a life jacket, helmet, and paddle. You'll learn how to paddle and follow commands. Then, you'll join your team in a raft (6-8 people with a guide). Have some tea or water before starting your rafting adventure.

10:00 AM - Rafting Begins! (Grade II-III Rapids)

Your rafting adventure starts with a fun and easy 1.5-hour warm-up. You'll begin with gentle Grade II rapids like Teen Devi, perfect for getting comfortable. Then, practice teamwork on Upset Rapid (Grade III), where you'll learn to navigate bigger waves. As you float down the river, enjoy the peaceful views—jungle-covered cliffs, small waterfalls, and local fishermen by the shore. You'll also pass by small riverside villages, giving you a glimpse of local life.

This section includes some exciting rapids:

    • Bijuli Rapid (Electric Rapid): Fast, splashy waves

    • Monsoon Rapid: Strong, surging water (best in rainy season)

    • Surprise Rapid: Unexpected drops for a quick thrill

11:30 AM - Midpoint Break (Riverside Relaxation)

We'll take a break at a sandy beach where you can relax, enjoy some snacks, and rehydrate. If you like, take a refreshing swim in the calm parts of the river. Don’t forget to snap some photos with the Himalayan foothills in the background! While you unwind, your guides will share fun stories about Trishuli’s rapids and their adventures.

12:00 PM - Second Half (More Thrilling Rapids!)

The next stretch amps up the excitement with 1.5 hours of thrilling rapids! Test your skills on S-Bend Rapid (Grade III+), where sharp turns keep you alert. Ride the rolling waves of Cotton Pony, then enjoy the playful ups and downs of Lady’s Delight like a natural rollercoaster! Between rapids, drift past dramatic gorges with cliffs rising high above the river.

1:30 PM - Take-Out Point (Kurintar or Mugling)

After an exciting ride, celebrate with your team and share stories from the rapids! Change into dry clothes at the riverside facilities, then enjoy a hot lunch at a local restaurant and choose between a tasty Nepali thali or pasta. Sit back, relax, and soak in the peaceful views of the Trishuli River as you unwind.

2:30 PM - Return Drive to Kathmandu

After lunch, hop back in the vehicle for a scenic drive back to Kathmandu. Relax and enjoy the views as you return, arriving in the city by late afternoon.
